My sketchbook had a boring brown cover. So I fixed it. Had to process the heck out of it so the colors would look like they do on the real thing, but at least I got it close.
And below, sketches from this year's ill-fated installation of the BYU-Utah rivalry. Well... "ill-fated" if you're a BYU fan. At least Ohio State stomped the snot out of Michigan, which is why Brutus has any basis to comfort Cosmo in the bottom right.
Psh! That's silly. If you're referring to why we lost, that's the fault of a certain three consecutive attempts at drives. If you're referring to the cougar in uniform celebrating with Hall... that's Cosmo. Who actually was there. ;)
And if they actually had been turned into cats, they would have had some mighty fine, mighty rare hawkmeat for dinner instead of a bitter lopsided loss. Maybe that's a skill I need to go develop, then. :D
That sketchbook cover rocks out loud. I was totally gonna make mine all pretty with a spiffy lion face, but now the book's nearly full and I still haven't done it. >.<
"I do not make pictures for children, at least not just for children. I won't play down to them. Too many people grow up. That's the real trouble with the world, too many people grow up. They forget. They don't remember what it's like to be twelve years old. They patronize; they treat children as inferiors. I won't do that. I'll temper a story, yes. But I won't play down, and I won't patronize them."
"I didn't treat my youngsters like frail flowers, and I think no parent should. Children are people, and they should have to reach to learn about things, to understand things, just as adults have to reach if they want to grow in mental stature. Life is composed of lights and shadows, and we would be untruthful, insincere and saccharine if we tried to pretend there were no shadows. Most things are good, and they are the strongest things, but there are evil things, too, and you could do a child no favor by trying to shield it from reality. The important thing is to teach a child that good can always triumph over evil, and that is what our pictures do."

Love the cover. Did you turn our team into cats again? Did you?!

Nice cover. Lo siento pero no hablo futbol americano.
Beautiful sketches. Like the cover, too! Too bad the cougs didn't have some teenage mutant ninja turtles out there with `em...
